Art & Community
From the barrios of Silicon Valley to the forefront of art and innovation, BetoVentures invests in the people, stories, and creativity that power our communities.
Community Is The Original Investment
BetoVentures is an offering and a proposal for collaboration, in the spirit of generosity and possibility, across both the creative and entrepreneurial fields. Beto Garcia, a UCLA Law School graduate, practiced civil law in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 20 years. He immigrated as a child from Mexico to the barrios of Silicon Valley, East Palo Alto, and North Fair Oaks. The collective field of the community and family nurtured his journey. While in Silicon Valley, he gained insight into the machine learning/AI computational revolution and eventually transitioned into tech investing. An auspicious interaction with Jensen Huang of Nvidia cemented his view of the incoming AI revolution. Beto is currently an angel investor and an LP in various venture funds. A component of BetoVentures is collecting art to support creatives in traditionally underserved communities, fostering resilience and social justice. Art and creatives tending the stories, images, and possibilities of hope in our communities. An initial focus of the collection will be Chicano art and creatives working in the immigrant communities.
